I'm heading to college next month and I need to buy a new laptop. I was fixed on the NP8662 until I recently saw the Dell Deals.

The only problem with the dell is the graphics card, but its quite cheap compared to the np8662. I was just wondering if there were any cons in buying a dell. I know the sager quality and service is supposed to be really good. This is my first laptop so I'm not aware of services of other brands...

Oh and btw I plan to use it for all 4 years, if that makes a difference

What's the intent for the laptop? Mobility or performance? Which means more to you?

four years? i think sager can last longer with the basic specification...
it seems that your concern is price , not performance?

They are not really that comparable ive owned a sxps16 and it was a fantastic multimedia machine with a decent performance class gpu, the sager is first and for most a gaming machine in my eyes, it does everytning else very well but i wouldnt buy a machine with a GTX260m if i didnt intend to game on it.
The dell is a great all purpose machine but the is a very noticable step up in gaming between the two, the other concideration would be that the sager is user upgradable so you are more likely to have it perform well in acouple of years by adding a new cpu, a bigger hard drive etc.
Anyway you need to think about what your main purpose in a notebook is...if its more multimedia with some gaming then the dell is a good choice, if its a 15.4" gaming machine that will do everything else well then the sager is a clear winner.
    Goodluck

Well I guess it all boils down to how often I game...
I think I'll go for the sager then :)
