The right side rear exhaust fan on my Clevo P670RE somehow got stuck on max speed one day. I can use the Control center and set it to custom, which in turn completely turns it off, and I overheat within minutes... But if I set it to automatic, overclock, or maximum, it does not change it at all. Maximum makes the GPU fans on the left side exhaust go at full speed as well though.
I was trying different versions of control center and hotkey due to a problem where the laptop has a BSOD caused by hotkey service (this issue is still happening too), and I'm not sure exactly what caused the fan to randomly ramp up, but now no combination of software or lack there of changes it at all, and the fan speed is stuck. It is also at max speed during the whole reboot process, and in the bios screen.
Hoping someone somewhere has experience with this issue, haven't been able to find any situations quite the same on google, and in the meantime, my laptop sounds like a jet engine, and everyone just stares at me in class.

Hey man. Congrats on your new rig.
Im quite certain the right side fans (the ones that blow out the back) are the GPU fans. The CPU fan blows to the left.
There is an updated BIOS version - 1.05.07a. Check what version you have and see if you can update BIOS. You'r gonna have to create a DOS bootable drive since you can't update from windows for security reasons. It sounds harder than it is. Google is your friend
Next thing you should try is update all your drivers, especially the ones for the two GPU's (Intel and nVidia).
If that doesn't help, check if you are running in UEFI mode. Go into BIOS and at the bottom of the Boot tab you'll find the UEFI settings. Some say there might be driver issues if UEFI mode is not enabled. Keep in mind you cannot just switch UEFI on. You'll have to repartition your hard drive, reinstall windows and all the shebang.
Gd luck and post here with progress.

Have you already tried a power cycle/EC reset? -

As an update, I beleive I power cycled the EC by unplugging the laptop and disconnecting the internal battery for 5 minutes. The fan is no longer running at max speed at all times when I set the control center to automatic. However, the fan does appear to speed up and slowdown erratically while the computer sits at idle, with GPU temps stable at 45c and cpu temps going from 41-45c. The fans are still just loud enough to hear over the built in speakers playing music at max volume (they completely drowned the speakers out before). And yes, I was backward. The GPU fans are on the rear, CPU fan is on the left side.

mysn models that correspond to this one are XMG P706 (6GB VRAM) and H706(3GB VRAM). Not sure if its a good idea to flash an XMG bios. Least concern is branding with the logo on startup. Try and contact Sager for a BIOS update.
You might also be looking at a hardware glitch in which case it RMA I'm affraid. .
