    Hi! Ditto on the title.

I'm thinking of getting one and I've read that the Zalman NC1000 is "okay" or the Cyro LX is "better". Hmn, I wanna hear from the owners and how much cooler are your CPU and GPU on idle and gaming please, thanks!

I have the Cryo LX, and yes I could say it is much better than the NC1000 in cooling.

Idle currently with 39C on processor and 37C on GPU.
On gaming mode, 60-75C on processor with max being on 81C and 60-70~C on GPU.
Then again, I have the less potent GTX280m on my machine so the GPU temps are slightly different

Those are interesting temps. I've Google Cryo LX and it doesn't seem to be available in the UK :(

Anyone else have a notebook cooler for their NP8690? Or am I to assume that NP8690 users don't really use coolers? :D

Cool! Thanks! I might get this one as this is available :D Any tips on how to properly place the unit on top of the cooler? (optimised position maybe?)
