Any news on this yet. They always seem to make a 15inch power house so any info or anything we can look on to.
I like no bigger than 15 inch sceen but with power. I want mky laptop feel like a laptop.
Any ideas on the graphics? not sure of what nvidia will use but i assume ati will be 6870 which is standard.

There's no news on a new model yet. However, today we just released an update with a 120Hz screen for NVIDIA 3D Vision support :)

You won't get new 8690 till sandy bridge, usually clevo won't come out with new notebooks until there's a new motherboard architecture.

all these additional features sound awesome to think what value you can have with the new line notebook.
i defo want a sager 15" when it does get released. think ill wait abit tho to see the ati variant which always seems to be last.
still tempted to get a np8690 but i dont want to be behind as soon as i get one lol. Thats why im trying to hold out.

successor??!! I just bought this thing!

computer technology is one of the fastest improving technologies out there year by year. However it hasn't improved 'that much' to warrant updating the np8690. The thing is, you can get the absolute latest in technology in the 8690, the best graphics card, the best processor, ssd, etc. The only point of updating the 8690 would maybe be to make it slimmer, or to revamp the actual form a little.

What is the highest TDP GPU the 8690 can handle? Obviously the power brick can be upgraded, and the bios can be flashed.

Basically my thoughts are...get a 120hz screen, upgrade video card, also the CPU is upgradeable, the RAM is the only thing that is maxed already.

The 8690 in it's current form should have a lot of life left to give for it's users...but I wonder how much?
