Hey, i was just wondering if the default card that comes with the Sager NP8690 supports ASIO

I don't think so. Get a Prof card instead....

I have Sager contacting Clevo about this exact question right now. As soon as Sager gets back to me about it I will post their answer.

I'm willing to bet ASIO4all will be your only option, and that's not a good one. You can grab a usb device for pretty cheap, and it will be loads better.
-
How is ASIO4all different from standard ASIO?
-
It's basically a hack to use wdm drivers in an asio mode. Programs like Sonar will let you use the card, but there are limitations and quality issues compared to a true card.
In the end, recording with onboard sound is like gaming with intel graphics: It'll work, but it's not awesome.
NP8690/w860CU Sound card=ASIO Support?
