So I just got this laptop around May and recently I removed the battery to clean it up a little bit. Unfortanetly when I put the batter back on it is now undetected and will not work off it at all. I tried resitting it but nothing worked and I noticed that it does not sit completely flush with the bottom of the laptop. Could this just be a minor defect? I tried applying a little bit of pressure on it to see if it was not making contact with the pins but it was still undetected. Has anyone else had this problem or should I just send it back since I believe there is a 1 year warranty with it. Oh and I ordered it from xoticpcs.

Check the power connector interface, it's possible it was bent/distorted by accident. That's the most common cause I have seen for this kind of strange behavior. If it doesn't look like something you can fix, get a hold of xotic, you're still under warranty. There's no point in trying to fix it yourself if the solution isn't obvious and potentially FUBARing your warranty.
