Hey guys, any idea why my np8760 refuses to launch Catalyst Control Center 2 with 11.3 drivers? Mom.exe and CCC.exe appear in task manager and the icon appears in my task bar. Any ideas would be helpful.

Edit: Uninstalling the drivers and using driver sweeper allowed me to install the old version from sagers website; CCC now works. However, what would cause the newer drivers from AMD.com to not allow CCC to launch? I would like to update to the latest version without this problem.

I still can't seem to get CCC to work on my np8760. Is the driver from sager/clevo the only one that will work, it is quite outdated?

I'm runnign onto the same problem with this new laptop I just got, tho it's the P170hm using the 6990m. Using the drivers from the CD worked, but I wanted to update these to use the new ones from the site, but no luck. :(

I just can't believe that a laptop designed for gaming is built purposely to not allow updating to its video software. Wish I could have gotten an Nvidia instead.

I'm pretty sure the drivers from sager are the 11.8 drivers... which are the latest barring the BETA 11.9 drivers. It has absolutely nothing to do with what computer you have...

Where do you download these drivers when an update is available? Also I uninstalled the previous driver and used the 11.8 OCL like you stated above but Catalyst Control Center still does not open. The cursor loads for a few seconds and the icon appears in the lower right corner but the window never appears.

    at the AMD website.

Try going to safe mode > Driversweeper + CCleaner > Reboot > Install new driver out of safe mode. See if that works.
