One USB port (rt side) has given up the ghost. I normally plug a mouse into that port... but now it doesn't work.

This laptop is only about 2mnths old. What can I do? Are the ports easily replaceable?

I'd wager it would involve a motherboard swap if the USB port is truly dead. You should call your reseller and ask about repairs.
