I believe the card has a thermal threshold is 90C, but its too hot for constant use for me. I don't game in temps above 75F ambient.

66 is a bit high, but if it averages about 50-60 you should be fine. THere are certain peaks in the temps I think, like at game load ups and so on.

    My GT maxes at 81C.

A couple nights ago, my comp started downclocking while playing Mass Effect, so I alt-tabbed out and was shocked to see that my GPU was sitting at 87°; it turns out that my phone had slid around the back and was completely blocking the vent. The phone was so hot, I was afraid that the innards were going to be cooked.

I won't make that mistake again.

Oh no... there he comes again!!!

Do you really need to make another pointless thread to tell us that your GPU reaches 81ºC? I mean, it's an amazing temperature for this GPU on a 15'' and you are complaining?

Seriously man... you should really stop for a second and reflect whether you are ready to have a computer like this...

I reach 81C all the time when I'm playing UT3 at native rez maxed. But then I remembered that danger temps are what the m15x reaches, which are 90-110C. So I felt good that I could stress the video card THAT much and still have it lower than that. :D

Honestly, you are losing your time and people's time by posting this pointless threads. It just looks you are trying to find problems with your laptop.

People are tired of advising you on the HDD. If you want to rest assured, phone whoever sold you the laptop and ask them for another HDD (ask for a Western Digital, as those supposedly run cooler).

Appart from that, stop looking for problems and freaking out because your GPU reaches... 81ºC??? That's so bloody good and you come and make a post like this? Honestly dude... You got to get yourself together.

Enjoy your laptop if you can... If you can't, send it back.

Don't reply if you think it wastes your time. Also, I believe I saw your signature complaining about AW. A bit hypocritical to me being that you sent it back...

Isn't there a limit to how many new threads a person can start about the same subject? Shouldn't there be?

Daweism: Please return your M860TU so we won't have to read these threads again, and get a Dell or Alienware.
