My power adapter died and I'm trying to replace it. I need to pretty urgently and am trying to find a local retailer that stocks it, but just wanted to clarify if it would work with my machine.

    I have an NP9130.

    FRYS.com | Lenmar

    FRYS.com | F.C.S.

I don't know much about the wattage and amperage and things like that, but would any of the top two products work? If not, does anyone have any suggestions for any universal adapters that I could purchase at a big box retailer (fry's, best buy, microcenter, etc.).

Thanks! I'm hoping to find one in person and not resort to waiting to get one shipped out to me.

    Thanks.

Power = current x voltage (the golden rule of electronics) hope that helps.

Can you get a more well known brand like FSP or coolermaster? Cheap supplies can be dangerous.

I just checked those two brands and it looks like neither of them sell adapters with the required 120W that I need.

The question I have is, if an adapter is the required 120W, but shows that it's output voltage is adjustable, and the voltage that I require is within that range, will it be OK?

    Thanks.

So long as it can output 19v then you are good. I would source a genuine adapter when you can though.

This. Trying to find deals or take chance on lower quality power supplies is bad business. I tell people to pay the price for batteries and power supplies. Rarely have to replace and less chance of electronics being powered go kaboom. Plus you spend less time looking for chargers every year.

Don't ask your question across multiple threads as it clutters the forums and can confuse people trying to help.
