I've been debating on what laptop to get and I think I'm almost set on the Sager NP9130. I was just wondering cause I was reading that Nvidia drivers have been causing high DPC latency for the past years, and wondering if that's been settled yet.

DPC latency is a rather uncommon problem, and I honestly haven't come across a de facto problem that points to NVidia or AMD specifically. I think you'd be safe with NVidia, and there is a DPC latency checker that seems to work well in resolving any related issues.

So would you recommend the np9130 for both gaming and music production?
I'm not very familiar with laptops and have only had really desktops my whole life. My desktop I put together myself yet I'm too dumb to know anything about laptops. It's almost a whole different market, haha. I just don't really know what to look for. I know I want to be able to produce music on it, game from med to high settings, 15.6in screen, 1080p resolution, and just something that'll last me for awhile if I take care of it. I have a tablet I bring with me every where but it doesn't have the functionality of a laptop, nor does it let me do what I want to do.
Most of the time when I record my bands sample tracks or anything in general, we use my guitarists brothers macbook pro from 2009 or 2010. It does the job very well, so I would have no problems putting faith in this sager np9130? -
I have P151EM (which is NP9130, just not from Sager) with 680M, and DPC latency is totally fine.
I also use Sound Blaster X-Fi HD USB constantly, and never had single hiccup with my audio (though I don't use anything low-latency like ASIO) -
Non-TLDR - If you get an i7 with it (3630QM should do you fine, though the 3740QM has a substantial increase in processor prowess for really little extra monies compared to the 3840QM and 3940XM if you want to get that upgrade. Either chip would last you a good long time and be good for most production things you could require. As the guy above me stated, he has a 680M in his and that's fantastic for gaming, especially with a bit of an OC if you want to do that. You should be able to max almost any game with a 3630QM (or 3740QM) and a 680M (or a 7970M, but enduro and driver issues may be more of a problem; I recommend nVidia personally to avoid driver hassles).
You take care of it and it'll last you quite well as Clevo machines are very durable and built to last. I let my laptop go for a long time without any kind of servicing and it's paying for it now, but it's still mostly completely functional after nearly 4 years, and a P151EM's tech is a lot better designed and long-lasting capable than mine. So having it last you a long time is very very probable. I DO suggest looking up how to clean the fans and such if and when you get it though. It WILL be easy to clean and such, don't worry. Clevo is also good at this. -

It is upgradeable, you only need 180W power supply.
P151EM1 identical to P150EM with only difference that it has non-backlit keyboard and non-rubber finish. In fact reseller I've bought from (mySN) sells them with 680M/7970 as standard build option. -
