    Hello everyone,

I purchased an NP9150 about a week and a half ago, with some upgrades. It shipped this past Wednesday. Which is giving me a total of a two week wait which is awesome. I plan on doing some personal upgrades when it arrives. Because I save a lot of money upgrading parts myself instead of through the resellers.

    Parts I will be adding
Swapping Optical Drive bay with a HDD bay
Installing a new wifi network card
Putting Harddrive in ODB slot and installing an SSD in the main HD slot

    I do have some questions..
Is there instructions somewhere on how to swap the ODB out of the NP9150? Also which HDD caddy size will I need?
Instructions in removing the keyboard to swap network cards?
Lastly, I plan on purchasing a Samsung 830 Series SATA III 128GB SSD for 120$
Does anyone know if they are reliable and work well? I dont want to buy something that will die in 2 months lol. I thought the price was acceptable.
    Any comments?

I just bought this: Amazon.com: NEW SATA 2nd HDD caddy for 12.7mm Universal CD/DVD-ROM: Computers & Accessories

There is a bay cover under right side attached with 2 screws. Remove that and you'll see the single screw that holds the optical drive in place. Also I'm sure I'll need to swap out the bezel from the optical drive to the new optical drive hdd caddy because the our bezel is angled and that one looks completely flat.

There's a pdf version of the instructions at Sager's download site. You'll also get a paper manual in the box, but it's really straight forward when you flip the laptop over and take the 2 screws out.

Excellent! Thank you, please let me know how the installation and what not goes. I am interested and may just purchase a copy. I decided on a different SSD, a Crucial M4 128GB. It's about $20 cheaper. Are the Crucial M4's reliable I have seen mixed reviews but most seem to be good.

No problem! I'll let you know when I get it. Changed my sig ahead of time, hehe.

Can't say much about SSD's because I don't have any, but from what I've read the Samsung appears to be the most reliable. I don't think you'll go wrong with either Samsung, Intel or Crucial. I'm personally waiting for the 512GB Samsung 830 to come down in price.

Installed the optical drive hdd caddy. Fits perfectly. You will need to transfer the optical drive's bezel. Be careful as the little tabs that are inserted into the tray seem really weak. Also the tray needs to be ejected to get to the tabs on each side.
