    Hey everyone,

I've had my NP9150 for over a year now and it has been working great. Ever since I got it, even on power saver mode, I was only able to get an hour to 45 minutes of battery life. Screen dimmed and keyboard lights turned off. It never bothered me, but recently I've been reading that people can get up to 3 hours on theirs? It had me wondering why I couldn't get that. It would be very convenient for when I am in class. I don't ever plan on gaming while on battery. Just web browsing. My battery meter also only tells me what percentage I am at and not how much time is left. I had to download software separately to find out. If anyone has any info or way to help me out it would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like your dGPU is kicking in one way or another. Give your reseller or builder a call and Im sure they will have you sorted faster then any of can help you.

The time you're getting seems about right from what most people get. Maybe the 3hrs people say are from very little use while the computer is on or even just a test to see how long it would last with no use.

You can go into the nvidia control panel and enable a little icon in your task bar to tell you when the dGPU is active and usually what has activated it :)

I usually have about 4 to 5 hours of battery life when browsing the Web on my P150EM. Clearly, your dGPU is always in use, if your 77W battery drains in about 40 minutes. You should have an easy way to force you iGPU to be enabled constantly when on battery. Be sure to also have your processor allow for core parking and lower frequencies. With only one SSD, my system usually idled at about 11W/h (with minimum brightness and WiFi on, just not doing nothing). Now, with an mSata + SSD + HDD, it will hover at about 17 to 18W/h (allowing for about 4 hours and something) when used for reading/browsing.
