Should i get
1.35v 2x Newegg.com - ADATA XPG Gaming Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model AXDS1600GC4G9-2
or
1.5 (Heatspreaders) 2x Newegg.com - G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBSK
or
1.5v (best brand of the 3) 2x Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9
-
For a $2 difference, just go ahead with the Corsair... you can't go wrong there!
-
I would get the Corsair. They look nice.
-
But wouldn't the 1.35v be better on battery life if i just so happen to be out and no charger?
Corsairs do not have a heat spreader btw, its a sticker you have to take off. -
any other input
-
I kind of have the same question but im wondering what would happen if i buy
Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model CMSX8GX3M1A1600C10
should one be ok? or do i have to buy 2 since its dual channel?
also is it compatible with the clevo p150em? just making sure lol -
-
No i mean i was told that if i buy 1 card it would be slower than 2 since they are dual channel motherboards inside the p150em also i was worried cause i didnt know if it is compatible with the motherboard. Oh and the reason i wanna buy 8gb sticks instead of 4gb sticks is because that way when i upgrade i wont have to throw anything away just slip 2 more of the same and keep going but i wanna know if 1 will be enough or if i have to buy the pair.
-
Wait.... dual channel is a myth?
went to wiki it
and it seem that its trueoh well im doing quad channel so i guess dual channel doesnt really affect me
Multi-channel memory architecture - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia -
but does the clevo p150EM support triple or quad? doubt it but can anyone help me out and tell me if its true or not what i was asking?
-
-
Yeah im still not getting the answer im looking for lol does that ram i showed you work with a clevo p150em? can i just have 1 stick and have no problem? or will i have to buy a pair? i know it has 4 slots and i plan on populating them eventually when i get money I just really wanna know cause i keep getting different answers everywhere
-
-
Lol sorry for sounding so bully like im just tired ive been asking and talking in around 5 different forums for around 3 days now im just tired its all XD anyways thank you
-
-
Lol ok ill go with one dim for now and buy another one next month when I get payed thanks for the help
-
-
Prasad: by four primary slots you mean it supports dual, triple and quad channel?
-
Yes, that's the case. It means you can insert upto 4 RAM cards at a time, as long as they're the standard 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM cards.
-
-
Will I notice a difference if i use 1333 and 1600 ram? when gaming i'm gonna be using 7970 anyways, so I'm thinking ill just get 1333 ram instead?
-
-
aka i wouldn't even notice it

I've got a P150EM question... Would the 3610QM and whatever motherboard is in the P150EM models support 1866MHz RAM?
-
-
-
-
2x1000>1866, so that should work fine, no? -
-
Probably because it's their lowest end model. If you have an extra $160 pretty much every reseller will let you upgrade. I think Mythologic might have it for $50-60 even.
-
I guess I should rephrase my questions.
Would there be a significant performance hit in putting a single 8GB module versus 2x4GB?
RAM bandwidth/speed wise, is it a bad idea to put 3x8GB? -
Significant, I'd be surprised if you found any day-to-day application or game that was affected. for benchmarking you'd do best utilizing dual channel, which you won't with just 1 stick.

Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Guys any advice for my p150hm? I'm running a 2760qm.
Would the corsair 1600 do (2x4gb) or the Kingston 1866 Pnp?
Currently I'm running 4x2gb 1333 Kingston modules.
