Hello all. Running into some issues with my NP9150 that is unfortunately just outside of warranty.
    Intel i7 3630QM
    16gb Corsair DDR3 (2x 8gb sticks)
    Toshiba Q 256gb SSD
    HGST 1TB 7200rpm HD
    NVidia 680M
    Windows 8.1

I added the 2 disk drives roughly 6 months ago. The ram was added when the computer was purchased last January. This is a new issue that started a couple weeks ago, with no hardware or software changes.

While using the computer, it randomly but frequently hangs for about half a second to a full second. This causes the mouse to freeze/stop, it does not pick up anything I type during this hang (I have to fix every 8-10th word). I just did a full reformat and reinstall and there has been no change. In fact, it seems a bit worse. I did a Memtest and the built-in ram test with no errors. I don't know how to test the SSD or HD. I have noticed some weird results when doing SSD benchmarks.. The results seem really across the board, so my first idea is that the SSD may be failing. Does anyone have any ideas on where to start the troubleshooting process?

Use a DPC latency checker. See if drivers are causing it.
