Hey guys wanted to see if anyone else was having some issues with this...

I installed my chipset, then intel video, then AMD video drivers.... However when I do that during the AMD driver install I go to a black screen that can only be fixed by a reboot.

Am I doing this wrong? If I go by the driver CD it does chipset as #1 then AMD/OR/Intel video as #2... So if I follow the CD driver installer it's never actually installing the intel graphics drivers?

Let me know what the proper way is from your experiences! Thanks everyone.

 yeah I also did it like that for the first time, and also get a black screen , that happens when you browse throught the cd and install everything manualy. Ufortunatelly the best way to do this is just run autorun whtn you insert the cd and in the instalation interface install the chipset, reboot, then install the second driver which is vga. It only installs the amd driver but the intel driver is included in the installation. than just reboot and install all the other drivers and you're good to go..

This same thing happened to me... Never got it working; trying one last thing and then if it doesn't work I'm RMA'ing, and even possibly just upgrading to the 680m.

    You are not alone :p

I chose custom install to install all of the component which resulted in black screen...It forced me to switch off my laptop and to reboot.

Winsat autorun after reboot. After that I chose custom install again but this time I de-selected all the component and just chose the drivers which had not installed yet and the problem was solved.

I just installed the ATI drivers from the autorun on the DVD that was included with mine and they worked perfectly fine.

Make sure you uninstall all AMD software, reboot, run driver sweeper and reboot again before installing new drivers.

I had all sorts of issues (even trying to go back to stock drivers) when not using driver sweeper.

Yeah, I just used autorun from DVD, selected the "Install VGA Drivers", waited for it to install, rebooted, logged back in, waited for it to configure everything, everything fully functional.

+1 to using the install center program. The manual recommends using the program with all of the driver installations in the one menu, as the program makes sure the exact driver you need is installed and installed correctly.

I am still confused as whether I need to install the VGA and the AMD driver. Some one said you do for the 7970M but the manual says the AMD pack installs both Intel and AMD while for Nvidia users you have to install both the VGA and the Nvidia pack.
