    Hi

    Is it possible to switch sound card to Sound Blaster X which can be found in latest version Sager model?

    Both yes and no.

    The hardware (sound DAC chip) is soldered on the motherboard. Cannot be removed or exchanged.

    The software (Sound Blaster MB2, THX Software) can be changed. The tricky part is validating the installation (it requires online activation). Older Clevo models (9170 of yours) are not listed to use Sound Blaster X so you need to crack the activation.
    Otherwise - it will work perfectly. Reason - the sound DAC is the same for all models of Clevo with multi-channel output.
    It may even work on my W370ET, but still needs cracking.
