I am thinking of ordering this Sager in the next few days and am looking for any feedback/opinions on this build. I have never had a Sager and am not sure what I think of the Matte screen upgrade. Budget is ~1700USD Thanks!

Are you looking for a specific type or critique? It seems like a pretty good build.

Just looking for any different opinions on my selections ie matte vs standard screen, or 675 vs 7970, or standard screen and add SS drive etc

Well, what are you going to be using it for? Also, buy from a reseller and not Sager, save yourself some cash and hassle.

It is for gaming (replacing a 4 yr old asus) and word processing, browsing etc. I am going through a reseller, not sager directly.

Then you don't really need much. Since you have a spare HDD slot, the only thing you might want to do is get a 128GB crucial M4 and install it yourself.

The build looks good. The Matte vs Glossy decision is a tough one. You'll hear people prefer go both ways. Personally i do like the matte screens better. They dont reflect, and are easier on the eyes over long periods of time. Glossy screens are more vibrant which is nicer for gaming.
The rest of the build looks excellent.
