I have a Sager Np9260 with a 7950 GTX that I bought just a few months before the newer 8800M GTX equipped models came out, I was wondering if there is anyone who still does the motherboard + graphics upgrades anymore? Or just sells the parts?

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it :)

You could try contacting xoticpc or powernotebooks. They should be able to help you there~

Sager will sell you what parts you want because the most resellers dont sell parts if you didnt buy your laptop from them

Hi guys. just joined the forum but have been browsing once in a while since i got an NP9260 in July 07.

My 7950 GTX just failed last week and a replacement seems impossible to find. i know it's quite late in the game, but i'm considering upgrading the mobo and video. i hven't changed a thing hardware-wise since I bought it.

I have been in e-mail contact with Sager support and at this stage they have only mentioned shipping my notebook back to them so they can send the GPU for repairs costing $200-300. not worth in in my view.

What I basically want to know is what my upgrade options are and probable costs. (mobo, GPU, possibly CPU) i really dont want to part with my 9260..
Is the 9262 basically the 9260 with new mobo supporting quad core and dx10 GPUs? i get really confused with all the names of things 8800 gtx/a/b/c/d - nokia 3210/3230 etc etc
i have a pretty good technical understanding but i have a lot of trouble keeping up with trends and they sure move fast these days.

thanks in advance and sorry for the long first post but this forum seems really helpful and friendly :)
