Recently I switched from the IFL90 as the high res screens are being extreamly slow and got a np9261. I've heard they stay verry cool while being mostly silent, but have a few questions regarding movement and a cooler if needed.
So can anyone recomend a backpack or any nice carying case that fit's this monstorus notebook? If you have a link could you give it but a name dose just as well as I know how to use google.I'd perfer a backpack or the one strap things that sling over one sholder, but breefcase stile is fine. Also if you have the bag could you comment on the padding inside and anything else that you like about it or bug's you.
Also if it dose need a cooler I'd like to have some in mind. The same as above is good.
Also if there are any thread's on this. Send me a link to them. I couldent find any suprizingly. I would have figured there would be one as this laptop is big and a bag is a bit harder to find than I would have expected. I dont plan to move it too much but when I do I'd like something that protect's it, and perferably dosnt scream "Steal This Bag!!!". But if it says laptop thats fine, I dont plan to move it through mass amounts of people and my town is pritty layed back even when collage is in.
Thanks

PS. Didnt I hear of a HP notebook that was quad core. I'm compleatly uninterested in HP (Cough hate them with a passion) a link to see it would be cool to, though that's asking alot![]()
Thanks again!

Here is a link to the cooler I use.

I find it lowers the temp on the GPU by at least 4 degrees. I can't give you temps for other components as I haven't looked at their temps.
The cooler has a variable fan speed control. It is very quiet at the fastest setting, much quieter that the laptop's fans on high. It's much lighter than you might think when looking at it. My rig does overhang the edges, but all the rubber feet fit on the cooler. It feels very solid. All in all I am quite happy with it.
As for a back pack, I'd be interested in that too. I'm using the upgraded briedf case style bag I got from powernotebooks. It works ok for my trips overseas as it spends most of the time on the carry on wheelie.
I have used it on my 1.5 hour commute from LI to NY and ii gets heavy when you are carrying it.butI knew that when I bought the rig.

Oh that one looks nice! It looks like the mesh on the Zalman is metal, that probably helps draw the heat away from the laptop too.
I also knoticed the NotePal Infinate on a sig I'd have to check dimentions but it looks nice. If only it was in the USA...
Also I cant beleave the price of some bag's... 480+ USD and its not even hard or anything its just some name brand. -
Personally, I'm getting a Pelican Case 1495 deluxe. It's a little pricey at around $200, but it's worth it to protect a $4000+ notebook. Especially while I'm out here in Afghanistan.

If I was still serving, I think I'd get that too. Looks almost indestructible. But for my travels I'd rather have a backpack if I can find a decent one which will hold it. My old ALICE pack just won't cut it.

Oh now thats a nice case. If I cant find something I'll get that. I'll have the money once my WoW account sell's.
If I was anywhere where the climate and enviroment is over there. I'd spend 200+ on a case without blinking an eye. But I found this on this morning but it dosnt look like it would offer much protection so unless I find otherwise it's out of the question.
Here's a link to it. It looks somewhat good but it also looks like it gives the protection of 5% compared to the Pelican's 99-100% from the outside world.
PS. Dosnt pelican make some gun cases's also. Waterproof and everything? I am defently willing to drop more cash to protect this laptop than I would have for the IFL, and infact am glad that I upgraded.
PS. The fact that it's lockable is an extreamly nice feature too! Along with the flat out style of it. (Lunch is ready and I didnt know where to word this in)
PPS. Forgot the link to the one I found...

Yeah...Pelican makes cases for all kinds of stuff including gun cases. That canvas backpack you linked doesn't even look like it'll fit the 9261 based on the dimensions(using the padded compartment). I tried to make sure the case I order had plenty of room for this massive laptop and a few extras.

Pelican dose make extremely well built case's. Also they look tough so I guess that's a plus on it. I'm still waiting on my IFL90.
US should go metric...
Just a question if you see this. Can you guys play Counter Strike over there?
I was hosting a server on one of my crap PC's at my house and some guys where talking about being over in Iraq I beleave. So me being curious did a tracert to see where they where at. The last IP that showed in the tracert showed as US Gov owned but it went into request timed out after that from security. So I still wonder about that. -
WOW! Finding a bag for this thing is a pain.
Yea the US should go metric. I found that bag also but I guess it wont work...
I guess the black bag they give us will have to do for a while.
I'm so glad myne shipped and should be here Friday! I waited forever on a IFL90.
Any advice on how scratchable the cover is and if the standard case's Velcro strap will scratch it. And any recommendations to keep it safe till I get a better pack for when I have to go places.
