Just got my 9261 today. Woo. Hooray, etc etc.
But... when I plug my headphones into the jack on the front, I can hear a constant horrible hissing/buzzing noise, no matter how low I set my volume. I've installed the latest drivers, and I'm using fairly high quality headphones that I used with my old laptop with no problems. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Make sure to try several types of headphones and speakers so that you are sure that it is the computer and not the headphones.
Try removing all of the audio devices from your Device Manager then reinstalling them from your Drivers and Utilities Disk that came with your computer.
If that does not help the issue try booting into safe mode by pressing F8 while booting and test the sound there as well.
As a last resort try reinstalling Windows and the drivers testing the sound after installing the chipset driver and the audio driver. If it works at that point finish installing all of the drivers rebooting and testing the sound after each one.
After you have determined that it is not a software or driver issue you can assume that it is a hardware issue. Contact technical support for your notebook and explain the situation.
