Hello,
Well, in around a month and half time I will be purchasing my very own notebook. Now The NP5796 has always the notebook that I would most likely buy. It's slim, looks great, and in the end, very powerful. Though I was wondering if you guys can help answer a few questions of mine.
- I don't play demanding games like Crysis because my Desktop PC is not powerful enugh to even run these games. Crysis probably can't even be run on it's lowest settings. I generally play online games like Maplestory, Gunbound, etc. I am currently playing Gunz Online. It isn't a very graphic intensive game and it in the system requirments it reccomends a GeForce4 MX GPU. While this is sureley a very bad GPU, it isnt enough to play the game were a lot of people are playing in the same game room as you. I was curious if I would really need a NP5796, or a NP9262, to be able to run games like Gunz and similar games flawlessly? If not, what do you reccomend?
- Is it worth getting the NP 9262 if I will not be getting SLI?
- How do I know if a game supports SLI?
Hopefully you guys can answer these questions.

If all you're going to be doing is playing those types of games, you could go with the NP2096 instead. You'll save money since it's got a smaller screen and a 9600M GT graphics card instead of the 9800 series. Unless you're planning on moving up to more graphic intensive games, you won't need anything more.
Most people would say its probably worth it to get the NP9262 without SLI if you don't care about weight. It's got great expandability and fast desktop quad-core processors.
Finally, every game supports SLI. -
Can you guys show me a good solid configuartion for the Np9262 which is around the $2500 area? -

It does on my laptop (as long as I lower the resolution). If I try to run it on 1920x1200 I get only like 10 fps!
But well Crysis is I think the only game which is so hard to run well. I play Assassin's Creed on my notebook at 1920x1200, dx10, all graphic settings maxed out.... and the game doesn't just run... it flies. -
areound the $2500 area..... not sure plus minus how much, but these are a few options..:
$2727
WUXGA 17" screen (1920*1200)
Q9650 Quad at 3.0GHz
Single 9800GT
4GB Ram..
could you perhaps tell us if you prefer a quad or a duo core processor?
and are you fine with having a single GPU for now and upgrade later, or you want an SLI now?
would be easier to recommend you a system then -
i decided I will probably get an 8660. Thanks for the help guys.
