and why do you need it?

3m makes a privacy filter. it doubles as screen protector. or you could try the invisi-shield. i htink that's what it's called.

A number of people (including myself) got a InvisibleShield when it was on sale 50% off.
Works nice.

Haven`t I had this talk with you about the shield dude?
You said you were gonna get it in June -
I got it.
I even have pics of my screen with it. -
Ok, since you have it, post pics please and tell us, does it kill the glare,brightness or anything like that?
-
Glare looks the same... like it was not even there.
I posted it in my "2 years later.." thread:

It looks pretty much the same as the regular screen.
On a side note,since I am a sceptic by nature, could you make a video with a pen scratching the screen or something? I want to know if it`s not just some cheap plastic, a referrence from a fellow NBR user would totally chance the balance of gettin/not getting this thing. -
The screen protector I use is for ensuring my screen doesn't take damage when I move my D900K. I took a pair of scissors and took a thin-film of bubble-wrap and just cut an area that covers the screen/keyboard area.
Cost = Time to find a scissor and the 3mm bubble-wrap. -
