My setup is as per my signature, running windows vista 64 bit. When I unplug my DVI LCD screen form the rear of my notebook. I get an instant blue screen of death, every time.

I also have a dual boot windows XP partition, with which I have not problems when I plug/unplug the DVI cable.

As I also have a DVI/KVM switch, its is a royal paint.

Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? (apart from the fact that windows vista sucks) :)

Brutal, we've got similar setups. I never tried another LCD though.

I used to get BSOD's on startup with the driver the seller installed for me, I think it was the 167.2?.

I found the 176.02 driver from Sager's Website very stable.

The 177.xx drivers from laptopvideo2go underclocked my graphics cards.

I am enjoying the 175 series drivers here in both 32bit and 64bit XP. (which I recommend you use instead of crappy vista)
Anyway though get one of the 175 drivers that has Clevo or OEM INFs (such as 175.95 or 175.80)
You can also try using Dox's new clevo inf.

I'm a mod over there so I can answer any driver install questions you may have.

Stay with vista.. With some tweaks I haven't had one issue with Vista x64 at all... One of the big things is you need to have proper drivers......

Get the ones off of sagers site... I have been using them for a couple weeks and haven't had an issue...

Also for those people that don't like vista....

There was a report done because of a lawsuit against Microsoft that determined that 75% of all issues that people were having from using Vista was due to Nvidias Video drivers.....

    Very interesting....

Thanks for the input guys, I may try some of the newer drivers from LaptopVideo2Go the weekend.

My current drivers are 7.15.11.7602 (ForceWare 176.02)/Vista64

Got it off the Sager site when it came out.

I also believe it's software related somehow, just a tad frustrating :( Blue screen on death on LCD un-plug and re-plugging is weird, its must be when the GPU is trying to detect the LCD attached.
