This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    thank you ebus! that was the answer and example i was looking for. so 2008 will in fact see and use just about the whole 8 gigs of ram.


    and we can now say "for sure" that it's set to 7.95 under server 2008.

    gets no argument out of me on the workstation/server laptop stuff. i still do it..
