I've been reviewing specs and details of various 9262 systems and had a few specific questions for current owners. I realize this is a new laptop, so there hasn't really been time for long term assessment, but any answers would be useful.
I will be using this system as a desktop replacement, generally running with external monitor / keyboard / mouse. I do game on this system (currently WoW).
1. Noise -- How loud is your system, particularly after the fans kick up to high? Do you find it distracting during gaming?
2. Display -- I am considering the WUXGA 1920x1200 display (matches my native desktop monitor). Anyone with this option have any strong plusses or minuses?
3. Display 2 -- Any issues using the external DVI connector? Any problems running dual display with laptop/external display?
4. What sound card option (if any) did you get and how do you like it?
5. I plan on running Vista 64 bit. Anyone have any problems with this OS and these machines?
I think that's it for now. Thanks for any responses.

1. Noise is not a problem, from what I've read. Also, it doesn't interrupt the gaming experience.
2. It's a great screen from what I've heard. The only problem people reported is the fact that the refresh rate isn't exactly 60, which also isn't a problem, but just so you know from the start.
3. Not that I know of.
4. You can get a standard HD audio card, but can also use the Creative X-Fi card.
5. No. Clevo (Sager) has all the drivers for Vista x64. -
1. the noise of the laptop is minimal....it kicks on once and a while but nothing destracting.
when gaming it is running a bit louder but nothing thats rediculous that would destract you. i had a headset on with the volume very low and i could barely even hear it
2. thats the display i have, it is a glare magnet but other then that its great. everything looks beautiful. its small but thats how i like it
3. couldnt help you there
4. i have the stock sound card that came with it, the realtek hd audio one. it comes with a bunch of nice features like an equalizer and other such things. for the sound card that comes with it i think its great.
5. cant help you here either, i have xp -
I should get mine in 2 weeks, I'll let you know then
Regarding the display though, it will most likely be a downgrade for me.. I'm currently gaming on a pretty old setup but using an HD-TV as my monitor >_> -
I'll tell you when I get mine at the end of May. ;_;

why would u want 2 use an external LCD(da 17 inch monitor is fricking hugggeeee... or maybe thats just me.. cuz ive been using 13 inch all my life...)
i jsut got mine today... my life is complete... well not really but... i plan on testing a lot of audio apps if anyone is interested in knowing the results i might post some info here later -
I have used the standard VGA, the DVI, and the converter for both S-Video and Component outputs, running multiple displays. I've also turned off the laptop display, and only used the secondary. There's been no issue. This is mostly reflective on the drivers though. I will say I'm using Vista Business x64 edition, and th drivers that came on the disk, with the laptop, from Sager. I have no need for hacked drivers on this machine. Although I have a personal partition on it, it's main function is for business.
As far as program compatibility, I have had no issues so far. as previously stated, I'm using Vista Business x64, and have yet to find a program or game that would not run, and I use quite the assortment. This includes productivity apps (MS Office 2007 on work partition, OpenOffice on personal), PC games (The Witcher, Race07, Oblivion, Crysis, Bioshock, Gears of War, World in Conflict, Company of Heroes, COD4, etc), benchmarking (3dmark05 & 06, HDTach, IOMeter, Sandra) and audio/video compression programs (AutoGK, SuperDVD Creator, Roxio Creator 9, Nero 7). All work without issue. Just make sure you have Vista x64 drivers for all of your peripherals. -
same will let u know when i get mine end of feb hopefully

also... i just opened up the nvidia control panel that comes with the 9262 and i changed the screen refresh rate from 59 to 60hz... so that was a no brainer....

My system is a 9261 and I am very satisfied with it:
1. Noise -- Best ever, this notebook is cool and quiet!
2. Display -- WUXGA 1920x1200 is beautiful (high contrast, vivid colors!) and yes it's a good idea to have a desktop monitor with the same resolution.
3. Display 2 -- none, dvi / dual monitor mode works fine. the old rgb port works fine as well, I already tested this with a beamer
4. None
5. I run Vista Ultimate x64. Compatibility is good. Adobe's Flash Player doesn't work on the IE 64-bit version so better use the IE 32-bit version. -

Thanks for all the responses. Sounds like my concerns aren't really a problem.
For people that have ordered recently, what kind of ship times are you seeing for these units, days, weeks or more?
