Sager np9262 with 2x gtx280m is better than an ipotetic alienware m17 with 4870x2?

    Romanian?

As mentioned before, no one can give you an accurate answer for this question, since both cards are not officially out.

Secondly, the 9262 may not be able to equip the GT280M, so you'll have to compare the M98NU with the M17 with CrossfireX'd 4870s.

Both laptops have not been released to the public.

The 926x will have only 1 card(last I heard) so the m17 with hypothetical 4870X2 wins...
If you would`ve said the M98NU , now that would have been a different story...

That would be an interesting matchup.

But seeing that the D90xF has an X58 chipset, I won't rule out a dual GPU solution. We'll have to look inside the D90xF to make certain and there is indeed a second slot for another GPU, I'm thinking 2x ATi Mobility Radeon 4860s in the future; the X58 chipset has native crossfire support and the 4860s consume a LOT less power than either the GTX 280M and even the MR4850. Because of its reduced power consumption, the 4860s won't rack up as much heat as two GTX 280Ms or two MR 4850s or 4870s.

This is more likely than before seeing that Clevo is preparing to use high end ATi GPUs in their products, but let's see what the insides of this new D90xF looks like first.

there's probably gonna be a D900X version or something like that.
with Core i7 and dual GPU (SLI/Crossfire).

    hardware company usually do that.
"nah, we wont have dual GPU with desktop CPU."
and then BANG, 6 months later, that version come out of nowhere.

Alienware prolly won't release the M17 with 4870's, it will probably be a new alienware model that will come out with the new Nvidia/Ati cards. I just don't see Alienware cramming two 4870's n that small Anima chassis. Asus has two 4870's and its a huge 18.4 frame, and the Msi 17" model has only one 4870, so I doubt Alienware will have the M17 with those cards.

But if by a miracle, they somehow cram those cards in the M17 without any heat issues, I'd be interested in that system, as it would be the only 17" with dual 4870's.

Consider that MSI's GT735 had 3850, when they replaced it with 4850 on GT725, the MB and design basically didn't change.

T17 have 2x3870 atm already, I won't rule out 4870 x2 yet; however we have to waid and see what happens.

You're better off waiting for the Sager NP9999. It will have Octo Core (2 X Core i7) and Double Crossfire 2 X 2 GTX560M with 64 GB memory and a 2TB SSD. It will play Pong like you wouldn't believe.

Dude, Come on, that would be trumped by the Sager NP10xOrgasm which will come with Sixteen Cores, QuadFire and SLI Hybrid and unlimited RAM created by energy.

He should wait it out til the best laptop possible EVER comes out. :D
