    Hello there,

I'm curious about the audio chips that come with NP9370... is it a TRUE Creative SB X-Fi audio chips or just a Realtek emulate one???

    Thank you!

The latter. Its only pure software.
Granted, the hardware has to have an internal crossover and the necessary DAC for the software to work, but....there is nothing in there thats manufactured by Creative.

You cannot use that software on earlier (or other brands) audio chips.

    Thanks dude!

Beside the audio chips, may I ask a little bit about the CPU performance on this machine?
Does it worth spending a little more to get the 3740? Do the 3630 satisfy most of the hardcore games work? Since I do lots of photo works with photoshop and other editing tools, wondering should I pay with the 3740 or directly 3840 with more significant performance boost.....

the best bang for the buck is 3630qm

Ive got 3740QM however, because the 700 Core i7 series are a bit better and still worth their price in cash.
Go with the 700 series if you need some extra power.
Dont get 3840qm, too expensive and not worth it. You will not notice the difference between it and 3740qm.

There IS a difference between 3630qm and 3740qm, so go with that. :)
Or 3630qm (will do the job too).

For what it's worth, apparently Dell's M17x-R4 actually does use a Creative chip (well, the current M17x, M18x, and M14x that is)
