My NP9377 is fairly new, less than a month old. But since last night the laptop is turning off immediately after turning on for about 1 second. When it shuts off, it makes a beep sound coming from the hard drive bay. I've tried turning it on by AC only and battery only but no luck. I also tried taking the battery out and holding down the power button for 60 seconds to let the excess voltage dissipate but with no success.

I was experiencing this for a week or two but it did turn on after about 2-4 tries. But now it's not turning on at all. I ordered it through Reflex Notebook Canada. Is there any ways to fix this or do I need to contact Reflex and/or Sager to get it repaired?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the power cord to see if there is any damage to it in any way? Try moving it around or straightening the cable out, to see if maybe there is any kind of internal break. Also, I know it sounds dumb, but have you tried a different outlet and making sure the cord in to the AC adapter is in there snug? Otherwise, try checking to see that ram and any cables internally are seated properly. I'm not sure if any of that helps, but it might be worth taking a look at.

Otherwise, I would reach out to them since it isn't just a one time thing, as you mentioned.

For some reason, after trying to turn it on for a day, it magically started up.... I don't think the power cord is the issue. I think it might be internal component issue. I'll contact Reflex/Sager after the weekend. If you could find out why this is happening since you're a Xotic employee that would be great. In the meantime, I probably won't turn my laptop off....

Yeah, I'm always hopeful it is the smaller piece to the puzzle that is the issue, and not the whole computer... Glad to hear it kicked back on.

Generally, you do need to reach out to the company that sold it to you though. They would have all the information on your specific model and order with them.

I would start a RMA process there is no reason this should be happening to a new and highly expensive machine....good luck!

I had the same problem, it turned out my CPU fan was not properly plugged in (became loose) after I repasted the CPU. You may want to check that before sending away the notebook for RMA.

I would agree with that. Better to take a few minutes and just check it over, if you can prevent sending it off for RMA, if it is just an unplugged cable.

I'd re-seat everything under the hatch just to be sure.
