Well it happened to me with my np9377sm-a

eDP is not 100% verified yet... but I'm a few pages behind in that thread.
In the mean time, I've hunted down the W10 upgrade nags that were installed in Windows updates and uninstalled them, some as far back as February. -
Well the issues for the LCD are new but there have been reports of UEFI corruption since Insider Preview 10130. Not just Dell/Alienware machines... This is a disaster.

Since it's such a different way of operating on a driver/firmware level it does not surprise me there are these issues.

Dell, Alienware, Gigabyte in that thread.

Even older build, Toshiba Satellite.
I'm starting to think we should put up warnings not to upgrade to 10 at this time... -
I started on some of that after your last post.
It's being forced on us. It was ticked in optional updates. If you didn't look, you were infected. I think the update process changed too.I checked optional, un-ticked W10, OK, checked important OK, start download and Abort! It was there. I had to go from optional, OK, start.... First I hid it but I wanted it gone the more I thought about it and googled away. I found a few with telemetry BS too. Here's some W7 and W8.1 links. Some were on a 7 machine not on an 8.1 and vice versa.

Maybe a warning is a good idea to at least check with their manufacturer or re-ebuilder in this forum. Mythlogic wouldn't ship mine with it before they had drivers... thankfully. But I see they have 10 now and 7. -
For comparison, that 31.84GB/s @ 2666mhz compares to 27.47GB/sec @ 2133mhz on my 5950HQ GT80.
So that is about 15% faster overall, but adjusting for 2133mhz/2666mhz, it makes them about equal - DDR4 @ 2133mhz would have given about the same throughput as my DDR3 2133mhz.Last edited: Sep 8, 2015 -
yupyup, ddr4 is slowly getting interesting for laptops, 16GB so dimms clocked at 3000 mhz have already been announced...

Will be interesting when they release the iris pro graphics variants and they get paired with fast ram just how far the IGP will go.
