Hey all, I wanted to update the drivers for the above laptop and gpu. I tried and after the update just got a solid black screen. Now I cant revert to the original on the disc, Sager site, any from nvidia, or laptopvideo2go. I have tried literally 25 diffrent drivers ranging from 86.42 to 179.xx with the same results. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

did you use driver cleaner pro in safe mode to clear out any remnance of the old driver. wondering if theres conflict between the old and new driver.

I did actually. I finally got a driver from ngohq.com to work for about 2 hrs. I shut the puter down to go do stuff and now I am back in the same boat. When trying to load the last one that worked, i now get a bsod that states the driver is caught in an endless loop.... I dunno maybe the card is on its way out.

very strange. are you using vista or windows 7 as ive seen a few posts about 7 and drivers.
if your using 7 can you reinstall vista and try that and if it works we then know the problem.
i recommend official 186.81 as the best ive tried so far.

Im using windows XP. Which is what the "recovery" disk included. I did upgrade to service pak 3, I dont know if thats an issue or not.. I will try 186.81 and see what happens...
