    Hi all, just to share a press release from NVIDIA.

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/io_1195471131866.html

    Looks pretty much like MXMIII, though Alienware will release them in a 15,4" notebook for sure. It's not the first time a high-end card is released in a 15,4" notebook, but only the second time since a couple of years.

    Can you spot Sager and Eurocom name in there?

    Now we just have to wait for Clevo to do their magic if they haven't done it already.

    Stay cool,

    Trance

    Man one 8800M GTX is faster then 2x8700GT in SLI. This thing will be a monster when Clevo starts shipping it. I bet people will get around 15000 in 3Mark06 (SLi) easily, and will be able to almost run Crysis as supposed by the makers.

    Still, I'm glad I bought my 2x8700M GT. Maybe when it comes down in price in a year or so I'll upgrade. Until then COD4 1900x1200 all settings maxed ROCKS! And if this one Rocks so will 99% of the games in the next 1.5 years.

    I believe that Crysis will be optimized in the near future. For instance SLI or no SLI is the same for me at the moment and it shouldn't be.

    Stay cool,

    Trance

    big problem is the modular system regarding MXMIII and clevo MXMHE.

    If clevo can find a solution to this problem and the 8800 fit in d900 and 570ru we have the most powerfull notebooks ever build.

    Theres a question tho.

    This 8800 gtx has 512 mb of ddr3 so if the comparison to Desktop 8800 we have the new nvidia core ? the G92? or the old Core G88 ?

    is this the board that we talk about ?

    ei trance, what price do you think this came in Portugal / europe ? 450€ ? 500€ ?
    dont forget that today 1,49$ == 1€
    regards

    No, we are talking about these specs:

    * http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_8800m.html

    * http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_8800m_tech_specs.html

    Price? Yep, it will be around those values I believe.

    I'm confident that both the RU and the d901c will be upgradeable to these cards. Clevo models usually survive a full video card generation and to some extent the next. 2007 is the year of NVIDIA 8000M series and also the year of both Clevo models we are interested in.

    Anyway we have to wait and see. These are the cards everyone have been waiting for in our community. Some even bought their lappies sooner with an eye on these beasts :) (I'm one of those)

    There shouldn't be a problem with upgrading since these laptops were delayed to incorporate the MXM slot for compatibility concerns for upgrades.

    Why not do. Once 8800 GTX is available why not create a sticky later to sale your 8700m GT. WIn WIN for everyone. Just an idea.
