Ok boyz and girlz, this rugger needs some advice. I currently have a 9260(even though Wu still hasn't added me to the owners list) with:
2.4ghz processor
2 mb ram
1 100gb(7200rpm) HD
1 7950 gtx card
I plan on upgrading these aspects but not sure what order to start doing it in and what I should think of upgrading to.
I know I want to upgrade to SLI, add some HD's and up the RAM when I switch to Vista. Not sure if upgrading the processor is worth it.
Any feedback you lot could give me would be mucho appreciated!

Well, first off, let me suggest you run with a little more than 2 MB of RAM
This really depends on your own computing needs. If gaming is your chief priority, grab the second video card first. If you do a lot of media-related work (either editing, downloading, or backup), go for one or more hard drives. 2 GB of RAM is sufficient for just about anything out there, so you can afford to upgrade the memory last no matter how you go about it.
At the moment, a processor upgrade probably isn't worth it...that 2.4 is a beast in its own right.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 29, 2015 -
2MB!! DOH!!! Some people might attribute that mental gaff to the fact that helmets are illegal in rugby but I say... Pads are for ^(&(&(*&s
My left eye does wander a bit but that's another story
Thanks for the advice mate!!Last edited by a moderator: Jan 29, 2015 -

Upgrading already? Seems like a waste. Just enjoy the laptop for now.
The first upgrade I would do for any computer is a RAM upgrade if it does not have enough. That will provide an immediate performance benefit and is easy to do. Secondly I'd add a faster hard drive. Everything else I would leave alone because a) it's not easy/cost-effective to upgrade or b) it's impossible to do.
Need Advice on Order of future upgrades
