K... i leave on a british airways plane in a few hours, and THOUGHT i got the right adapter so i could use my new 5797 on the plane. But the one i got is an iGo EverywhereMAX, which says it's 90W. The sager manual says 120W. Is this just not gonna work?

If you have your system undervolted and the gpu underclocks then all should be fine with 90 watts. My laptop has a 120 watt psu too and it only uses around 40 when playing a dvd.

You should be ok - the adapters they send you with laptops are, for obvious reasons, capable of supplying at least slightly more power than your laptop will use under full load as well as charge the battery at the same time, so unless you're doing some seriously intensive stuff, I wouldn't worry about it.

The worst that will happen is that your battery will have to take up some of the slack.

As for undervolting, while it will lower power usage, I don't reckon it'll be worth your while to learn how, download the necessary programs and go through the undervolting process today (it takes time and patience, and it's pot luck as to how much power you can actually save), considering you're short on time as it is.

At the risk of being flippant - see which one fits/works lol.

And something that completely slipped my mind - take the battery out of your laptop, plug the AC in, start up and try and play a DVD. You'll soon find out if 90W is enough. If it's not, turn your power management mode to "Balanced" or "maximum battery" and try again.
