I got a sager 7628TUN, installed windows 7, it crapped out after a couple of weeks(software problem?) it was giving me a black screen after windows booted, It was tough to get fixed because couldnt get into safe mode.. and auto repair didnt work neither did system restore.

So Luckily i saved some files, bookmarks, games, using a sata to usb adapter, but after I formatted everything on the HDD,windows 7 gives me "expangding files 0" gets stuck there, so what do i do? im guesing to install neccessary drivers, which ones? where do i get them, and how. thank you

i also got vista recovery disc and same thing happens..

You may want to test your memory and hard drive. My signature has a link to Orev's fantatsic Memtest86 guide, and you can use Seagate SeaTools to test the hard drive.

To test your hard drive, you can download SeaTools from:
    http://www.seagate.com/staticfiles/support/seatools/SeaToolsDOS213bEURO.ISO

Extract this file, then use a program like IMGburn (available at http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download) to burn the .ISO image to a CD-R. Make SURE you use an ISO-compatible program to burn the image to disc, and that you select the "Burn ISO to disc" option, as simply dragging and dropping it to a blank CD will not work.

Once the CD-R has burned, boot your computer off of this CD-R (you may have to go into your BIOS to change the DVD boot priority to number one). Once your computer has booted from SeaTools, please run the "Long Drive Fitness Test." This will tell you if any errors are detected on the drive.
