Hi, need suggestions on Ordering within asia (Thailand Specifically)
had problem after problem finding a seller. looked at cubehub.asia first , when i rang them they said their paypal account had been suspended. then contacted Mucro. seems viable but a 3-4 week wait time and the fact they dont have the GTX580M listed on their site

anyone got any suggestions on ordering within asia (preferably flying to collect it as i've heard rumors of people getting charged 30% tax in thailand on the laptops because their a "luxury good" or something)

Was looking at ordering with the following specs
    Code:
    [B]Video & Graphics Card:[/B]Nvidia GeForce GTX 580M GPU with 2GB GDDR5 Video Memory
    [B]CPU Processor:[/B]2nd Generation Intel® Core? i7-2720QM Processor ( 6MB L3 Cache 2.20GHz)
[B]Thermal Compound:[/B]IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU plus GPU
    [B]Memory:[/B]16GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz - 4 X 4GB
    [B]RAID Storage Options :[/B]RAID-0 Storage
    [B]Hard Disk Drive:[/B] 2x500GB 7200rpm SATA 300 Hard Drive
    [B]Optical Drive :[/B]6X Blu-ray Reader/8X DVD±R/2.4X DL Super-Multi Drive
    [B]Wireless Network Card:[/B]Bigfoot Networks Killer Wireless-N 1102 - 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module

ANY help is hugely appreciated, i've been trying to get myself a laptop for the last 3 weeks but its just problem after problem :<

Here is a Sager reseller that's based in Malaysia. Might be easier to contact them than trying to find one within your own country.

sorry to revive this thread but still seeking information on this matter.

i looked at the sager reseller you mentioned saturnotaku but the pricing seems significantly higher than any other Sager / Clevo sellers i have found.

the two Sellers i have been attempting to contact are Cubehub.asia and Mucro.asia , both of which seem a bit cheaper than Illegear ($2,818 from Illegear , 2500$ from cubehub / Gentech)

has anyone got any cheap Sellers they can recommend that do international shipping with Paypal or a United kingdom visa card (shipping to thailand)

Hi there, i would recommend that you order from LPC-Digital or Mythlogic. Even though they are both situated in the states, they would gladly do international shipping as well and you would find that their prices are even lower than Cubehub or Mucro even AFTER shipping.

i gotta admit i looked into it but the problem is that all the US shippers i looked at (except gentech) asked for Wire Transfers because i want it delivered to thailand.

however i used my money i had for laptop to pay off the credit card i intend to use for this laptop (both myself + my credit card are from the UK... just in thailand doing Kitesurfing for a year or two)

p.s. just out of curiosity why is the 3d screen only compatible for the GTX 485 ? , is it possible to order the 3d screen with a GTX 580 ? if not .. why not ?

just ordered my laptop from Gentech. NP8170
paid $30 extra to have a HDD caddy shipped alongside the laptop's standard Dvd drive for later use. (hopefully it works out to my advantage)

time to wait for it to arrive and see how heavily i get taxed ... Waiting to hit the Owners club now :D
