So I plan on buying Cleve/sager/xmg/vortex or how you call it :D

So it will be 15.6" ,with Nividia 780m, Intel i7 4700qm main aspects ....

So the question is which EU reseller should I choose for now I think there is two main so mysn.co.uk and pcspecialist.co.uk . Which one would be better ? (I live in uk now but I tend to move quite often so as long it's eu reseller it's ok)

I heard that mysn has good customer support and warranty is like better and pcspecialist has cheaper prices please tell me more about these resellers .

Another question is pcspecialist offer to choose sound card and mysn don't does that mean that mysn has sound blaster installed ?

One more question is, are these laptops user upgradable? Can I buy my own ssd and just put it inside? What can I upgrade in these laptops ? Can I upgrade ssd, ram, cpu anything else ? And would it void any warranty ?

Any other stuff I should know please tell me

    Thank you

I bought a xmg, and you can upgrade it without void the warranty, you can swap hdd, ram and so on.
You may also watch up one.de, they are the cheapest, but I´ve heard people who are happy, but other ones that have had problems with stock.
    I´m very happy with my xmg p502, I bought it for 1200€ with i7 3630 and 7970, it´s a nice computer.

    Regards.

    Hi
im biased and will always say mysn as i couldnt fault them. i was so confident i dropped £2000 on their first day of business in the uk.
the one in my sig is last years 15" P150 series model and it sure is a powerhouse.

its the main thing good about clevo's, they are user upgradable and will not void your warranty.

im not sure about the external sound cards so best to have a chat with them on live support next week. i guess buying it elsewhere will be cheaper anyway.

the warranty is my one hate for pcs. its very misleading and 2 members in the last year have had hardware problems with their almost 2 year old laptops and as they only took out the standard warranty. 3 years my a$$. actually 1 month courier and 1 year parts and 3 years labour. so these 2 members had to pay for courier and parts and one was a new gpu which i think they charged £300
they did ask on here but as it was cheaper than mysn they went with them. i did warn them :)

anyway good luck with whoever you go with as you wont regret buying a clevo.

If you are going to be moving around europe you can think about who shipping to would be cheapest.

as long as the ssd is a 2.5inch you should be fine.
for example Samsung SSD 830 2.5inch SATA III 6GBps 256GB Notebook Accessory Kit with Free Norton Ghost 15: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

samsung are as far as i know still the fastest. i only went for crucial m4 as samsung had not released a 512gb at the time.
as the 15" only has 1 drive you have the option of getting a caddy to replace the disc drive and also a msata drive as well if you need loads of storage space.

also as Meaker said, if your traveling around europe you could ask the uk office if you ever needed a repair could you also send it to germany to their main office if you were nearer to them. if you are staying in the uk then as far as i know shipping is covered by warranty wherever you are.

Most sager/clevo machines have both msata and 2.5" bays.

If you are proficient then you can put it in yourself, for warranty returns you would need to put the old sticks back in and remove any of your own though.

I don't know if you're aware of it but I saw a clevo roadmap somewhere here on NBR and apparently they'll have new nvidia parts in February, just in case you're willing to wait for more up-to-date stuff or get a discounted last gen GPU..

The "new" videocards will be a rebrand of the current generation, plus some slim clock rate increments.
The performance difference would be between 5-10%, 12% at the most.

But hey, its better than nothing! You can still wait a month or two and see what happens.
Or even wait 3-4 months for the new processor lineup, this would be an upgrade worth waiting for IMHO.

Well the AMD cards don't even have clock changes, but yes a bump in vram and clocks for the nvidia camp *yawn*.

If you want a UK seller giving you the system directly with unlocked overclocking BIOS, then check out PWNPCS.

Every 780M can run 880M clocks...If you want a notebook now then there is no benefit In waiting for it.

Current 15" with the gtx 780m is by far the best option.

I checked web for more 15 " with 780m and I really couldn't find anything then p157sm and msi is there any other 15" laptops with 780m ? And would you all suggest wait till February end and hope for new clevo model or any other manufacturer and can somebody tell then they will go to new 800 series nvidia cards ?

When is soon ? And it would change the price for 780m maybe then :) maybe new style of laptop would come :) and still aorus x7 review by Linus tech tips was extremely good in my opinion about heating and so on but the question would be is it really kinda the same power of 780m and sli of 765m? And in general is sli better then single gpu?

    Thank you

Since the performance is so similar i would expect prices to not budge.

A single 780m is much better than 765m sli.

Ok you made my mind clear I would say ... Ces is finished nothing more then aorus didn't show up ( and something from msi but that mystery laptop was just a prototype to long to wait for that thing .... And in the end it wouldn't be that amazing ) but thank you all for help I'll keep an eye on everything and if I'll have any doubts I'll post something ! Thank you
