Hello, I'm going to purchase the new gaming notebook for my boyfriend's birthday and I need some help. He is software developer and gamer ( Eve Online, Minecraft, Frozen synapse+ battlefield 3, boarderlands 2, X-tention 3: albion prelude)) for better understanding his needs from computer.
Firstly, I was interested in Alienware R4 (as the most well known gamer dream), but after checking the level of quality and price, I decide to buySager NP9370, because, as I understood, I'm able to customise it with better characteristics for the same price as R4. Am I right ?
The equipment that I foundbest for him is:
i7 3740 QM + 16 GB DDR3 1600 MHz +750gb (w/ 8GB SSD Memory) Seagate XT 7200RPM NCQ (hard drive) + Nvidia Ge force 680 M (or 680 MX?) with extra COPPER cooling system. So, I want to know your opinion about my choice and your recommendations!
Also, I'm very interested in new 680 MX graphic card from Ge Force(because I read it's very cool card), but it still hasn't came to Sager, so what's the time and money estimate for its appearing in Sager's laptops? Feel free to ask any question and advice everything: I'm not too computer-friendly girl, so I'm pretty sure that I could make a mistake trying to find the best equipment.
    Thanks! :)

P.S. sorry for double threads, not sure is it *what I should buy* or Sager themed question.

Don't put that copper stuff in there. You can buy those copper heatsinks for ~10 USD on ebay and apply them yourself if so needed. Plus, they won't help the temps unless he installs more fans in there himself. Other than that it seems to be good. The 680mx has rumors here and there. There is no concrete information on it or when it's being released.

    GeForce GTX 680MX | Specifications | GeForce

I'd say that is pretty concrete ;) . The 680M is based on the 670 gtx, and the 680MX seems to be based on the 680 gtx. The difference in performance won't be too big, but it will definately be noticeable.

I already knew about that site. I was referring to its release date.
