Hi, does anyone have a fully calibrated profile for this screen? I can't really find any. Also, after switching to this color profile in color managment, do you leave the settings in Nvidia control panel as default (so that nvidia manages the colors instead of using your own settings?).

    Thanks

I have one but I am out of station right now...may take some time...
You just let Windows load the profile and leave NVIDIA control panel untouched.
BTW, my screen had a strong blue tilt without the profile.

Perfect.. because my looks blue as well. would be awesome if u could send me that profile.

@edit: maybe you could also tell me how I can change that calibration? I just downloaded an profile for the dell xps17 (who has the same screen). Everything looks quite good except this test (the 2 white bars): http://displaycalibration.com/brightness_contrast.html

    thanks

Hey can share that profile once you get it, looks like we have the same panel. I tend to like the slight blue tint, but interested to see if this can get better. Thanks.

As far as I know the dell uses the glossy version...
Should be home in a day or two...

ah man I love you :) The 80% brightness is just perfect. Thanks !

Wished someone had a color profile for my Samsung SyncMaster BX2250 :p

@edit: on this site, do all three bars show up perfectly for you?
    http://displaycalibration.com/brightness_contrast.html

the black one is fine.. the middle one has a little difference between the left & right side.. but the upper one is just white for me.

I have to look directly at the screen to see any difference on the top bar...from my regular angle i don`t see it either...

I had messed with my colors in the nvcp, but after turning those off and using your icm, it is clear that everything was very wrong and too blue. I'm loving this screen even more now. Thanks and +rep!

zakazak: (Let's assume veiwing the screen from straight on is 90°). On that site, the 2nd and 3rd bars are fine, but, for the 1st bar, I can only see a difference below 100°. But that's just how this screen is: any viewing angle higher than around 10° above the centerline makes things oversaturated.

A friend of my father has some 3000€+ calibration set. It's like 2 hours driving but I think its worth it. Will calibrate my Laptop + 2nd screen there for free and ofcourse share the .ICC files here.

Lets see if spyder 3 elite can compare with that super expensive calibration set :p

So true.. When I downloaded the .ICC profile of bkDJ I saw most websites I used for years already for the first time with their real colours :D Looked so different. Will share the color profiles as soon as I have them :)

I think you mean Prema. :)

And I agree, seeing things in the proper colors (72% gamut only, but still better than any screen I've used before) was a nice kind of shock.

If you don't need hardware accurate colors, Google QuickMonitorProfile and QuickGamma. Different panels will require different adjustments.

THX for hosting, guess that`s the last place from all the above that "they" are gonna shutdown! :D

Could you find the time to use the Pro Tools of your friend to do an other profile, yet

I'm sorry.. that guy lives far away and back then he was coming over to the city I live for some business related stuff (for just one day). Unfortunately I didn't have the time to meet him :/ No idea when I will have the chance again.. maybe this summer when I go to vacation by car I can make a stop at his place.

Anyway.. I think the outcome would be pretty much the same :)

And ye my hosting shouldn't go down anytime soon.. all my mail/work/private related stuff is running on that server.

Wow, glad I found this. I am plenty happy with the screen but accurate calibration is always welcome :D
