So a few years ago I was researching to replace my Dell precision laptop and came across this board. I decided I wanted my next laptop to be a Clevo/Sager which I planned to buy in a few months. Well my Dell died all of a sudden and I needed a laptop asap. So I went on amazon and bought a ASUS Republic of Gamers G74SX which I know is based on the Clevo. It wasn't the laptop I wanted but I needed it within a day and I got it next day from amazon. The Asus has been a great laptop, much better than the dell ever was and it was about 1/3 the price too. Its been two years now since that and it is time to look for a new laptop.
I am a .net software developer. I run lots of Visual Studios, SQL Server Studios, SQl servers, VMWare Virtual Machines. 90% of my time my laptop is hooked up on my desk to two monitors/keyboard and mouse. Also I use my laptop for gaming during down times and when I am traveling. I don't need a ultra portable laptop but there are times when I need to go out on locations and I need it to be portable. I am ok with the size of the Asus (I think 8lbs) but I would not want to go any larger.
This is the laptop I have now. I like almost everything about it compared to my old Dell. However I HATE the screen and I HATE the track pad.
My new laptop needs to look professional. I cannot have any weird logos or anything that looks gaming type. Plain and simple looking works best for me.
Right now I am looking at the SAGER NP8275-S from XoticPC. I bumped the CPU to the 4900MQ, the GPU to GTX 780M, Memory to 24 GB, 960GB SSD, 740 GB secondary. The price is about $2,800. This laptop has a HDMI and a Display Port so I can use my 2 monitor setup without any additional things. It also has no branding or weird logo.
I left the 17.3" FHD 16:9 "Matte Type" Super Clear Ultra Bright LED Anti-Glare Screen (1920x1080) on it, is the 17.3" FHD 16:9 "Matte Type" Super Clear Ultra Bright LED Anti-Glare Screen w/ 72% NTSC Color Gamut (1920x1080) worth the extra wait and money?
Am I on the right path or should I look at some other options?

No actually asus will make their own systems since they make motherboards themselves, it's not based on the clevo machines.
Keep the CPU to the 4800MQ, keep the screen stock, try and match the memory (so if you will use it may as well max it to 32GB for 4x8GB sticks or go with 16GB instead. -
I was debating the 4800 (8700 score) vs the 4900 (9400). The 4900 is about 9% increase in CPU scores but at a price of an extra $240. -

There is only 100mhz and 2mb of cache difference between them at best so I think whatever benchmark that was is exaggerating the difference.
Need help deciding on new Clevo..
