    Hello,

I'm looking to get myself a new P750TM1-G and need some advice with the CPU and GPU. For the CPU I'm deciding between the 8086K and 9700K. From what I can gather, the 8086K runs cooler than the 9700K at the same clock speeds, so that's what I am leaning towards. It also offers hyperthreading.

For the GPU, I need to choose between the GTX 1070 8GB, and the RTX 2060 6GB models. I dont know much about GPUs, so any advice is welcome on which to choose.

Also, a lot of resellers have paid options such as "choose LCD panel with minimal backlight bleed" or "30-day Zero Dead Pixel guarantee". What are the chances of me getting stuck with a poor LCD panel if I go without any such option ?

    Cheers

Edit : How is Obsidian PC as a reseller ? Worth buying it from them ? From what I can make out, they have their own Custom BIOS, as opposed to Prema.

Obsidian are active on here which is always a good sign :) LCDs are getting better but there is a chance still. I run the 8086k delidded it's basically guaranteed to be a good sample which does help if you tweak it with an undervolt.

You'll get comparable performance between the 1070 and 2060, if not slightly better performance (it will vary by application) with the latter (plus Ray Tracing, if you're interested in it). Ex: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2019-02-18-geforce-rtx-2060-vs-gtx-1070-7001

Pretty slim, but there are relatively strict warranty policies on dead pixels and backlight bleeding, hence the optional insurance/warranty.

Has anyone here purchased a P750TM ? I've been looking at the reseller feedback forum, and all i can see are P775TMs and P870s. Does it have poor cooling ?

By virtue of size it has to have smaller heatsinks but it still copes better than the mobile CPU machines out there.
