Lurked for a while, first time poster.

I have a Clevo M570A resold through ABS as a Mayhem something or other that is now out of warranty. Last night the hinge on the left side of the screen broke (the actual post that sticks down into the base split on the two sides of where the screw sticks through it). I would like to get it fixed ASAP, and am more than capable of fixing it myself, but I can't seem to find the damn part anywhere. The actual part, which runs up along the whole left side of the screen, had three part numbers on it ( "33-m57a1-0bx" was stamped into it, "33-m57a1-0b1 L" was on a sticker on it, and "051209 a1" was printed on it). Based on the other part number schemes I've seen it looks like the sticker one is what I should be looking for.

I will be e-mailing ABS, Clevo, and Sager to see if I can purchase the part through them, but I figure one of you guys may also know where I could get one, maybe someone even has a broken machine they can scavenge one off? Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Well, don't waste time emailing Clevo, they will not help you.

Sager is your best source for parts like that...you can email them at [email protected].

Heh, Clevo is actually the only one who has responded so far, they wanted to know the serial #, but haven't gotten back to me yet. Thanks for the help though. Anyone else have any ideas?
