I have a Sager (D870P, N8790) notebook with built-in (optional) TV USB 2.0 tuner. All works will with Microsoft Windows XP, the drivers from Sager, and the AverTV Studio II driver and software. I am now attempting to upgrade to Microsoft Vista Ultimate and am having trouble getting the TV tuner to work. First, the XP drivers don't seem to be recognized, even as legacy drivers, and the install exe file won't work. I've tried some of the other available drivers but come up short. Sager simply says no to Vista but I'm not buying it. The optimist in me says there is a way to get it all to work.
Anyone successfully get the the TV tuner to work with Microsoft Vista and if so, how? Any suggestions? Especially identification of the drivers for this tuner (which likely was sold with other Sager models.
Thanks in advance,
Matthew

Try these, they are the final releases of drivers for your notebook:

Got the same response from Sager and Aver, Aver told me that the AverTV Studio II is no longer supported and not support for Vista, I have a Sager NP4750 with this card it it with no hope, have tried recent drivers with same effect.

I usually go into "Safe Mode" after that, then try to install the drivers again.
Note: Make sure that the drivers are already extracted (meaning... not in an executable)... so that when you choose to search for the drivers manually, you would have a folder with the drivers now... which Vista should pick up.
