So .. anyone that know anything about cores and stuff? lol
I've been in this dilemma for a while, and can't decide! ><
I got 2 choices ..
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz w/ 6MB L2 Cache - 1333MHz FSB
or
Intel Core 2 QUAD Q9450 2.6GHz w/ 12MB L2 Cache - 1333MHz FSB
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=Intel+Core2+Quad+Q9450+@+2.66GHz
mah .. please give a helping hand?![]()
-
well the quad is better becaus... its a quad and it has twice the cache wich is very important. If money is not a concern, then go for the Intel Core 2 QUAD Q9450 2.6GHz w/ 12MB L2 Cache - 1333MHz FSB
-
hehe, yea .. 4MB ram
Going with all the best I can get on the Sager NP9262
-
Quad is future proof and better overall..
-
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
If I were you I would go with Q9450.
-
It all depends on what you're going to be using it for, and whether you'd be willing to fork over the extra $$ later on to upgrade from the E8400 to a Q9xxx at a later date.

thats what I've come up with so far .. any ideas? anything that you recommend me to get or take away?
Didn't pick Blue Ray bc I wont need it yet, but gonna get one later on .. also there is no Intel® Turbo Memory (1GB), but again .. is that very needed? -
Gonna be using the laptop for some design, video editing and PS3 and stuff like that .. and ofc gaming when I'm not working!
Thanks for your time and all the help! -
the turbo memory is not worth it. that is an incredibly powerful setup and will last you for many years.
-
-
rofl ..
yeaaaaa .. 4GB, think that sounds better xD
-
-
Don't need the Robson memory, not when ya already have 4GB of RAM in there. Don't need the Dead Pixel Warranty, very few units ship have dead pixels in them anyway (rare!). Plus, you got the 30 days warranty from Xotic to return it if you do find a dead pixel. You just gotta pay the shipping though, which ain't that bad.
-
Oops, my bad, you didn't opt for dead pixel warranty. How about a 3rd HD? Xotic has pretty decent price on the 200GB 7200RPM.
-
Or you could get them from newegg even cheaper
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
so i know the NP9262 can use desktop Quad Core proessors, but can it use ANY of them or a specific few?
Need help, can't decide!
