So, i recently got in my EVOC P650HS.

The machine will not boot. It turns on, keyboard lights fire up. Screen flickers for a bit and displays nothing.
    No beeps.

At one point when i first turned it on it displayed windows intro settings, once i got to the select wireless connection menu the screen went black. after many restarts this thing will not post.

This is fresh out of the packaging. I would call HID Evolution but it just came in today and they are closed.

Any advice would be most welcome.

    EDIT: Everything works great now!

You could try resetting the cmos but I'd probably just contact HID.

you mean it did this out of the box? strange.....

anyway.......try this to reset the BIOS:

To perform a soft NVRAM Reset without having to open the laptop and remove the CMOS battery:

Hold FN + D + Power button for 5 seconds, then keep the FN + D keys pressed and release the Power key, after 30 seconds, you should see the NVRAM reset message on your screen.

    Another user also mentioned:

if that doesn't do the trick, try removing some of the RAM sticks, preferably just leave one installed and try again

Sounds very strange. I would guess that something is probably loose. I'd contact HID if I were you, I wouldn't fiddle in something which could void your guarrantee.

yeah they have very stringent quality control and stress tests. my guess is that something might've happened during shipping if the NVRAM reset doesn't solve it

So that did the trick. I had to leave for the day, came back and did just that. Started right up, faster then anything I have seen.
Even faster then my main block ( I attribute that to Phoenix's amazing NVME he sold me :)). Anywase going through the long process of installing everything and getting setup. I will write a full review of this system and my dealings with HID EVOLUTION!. Thanks guys

By the way when fedex delivered it, it was ICE COLD. I live in New York city. Maybe something to do with the extreme cold? whatever, the semiconductors are happy now.
