I cant find it on the forums, or a link that works for that matter.
DeXgo made it and uploaded it at one point...
I think the OC was 600/1500/950

Yep before 3 months stock overclock is core 600 shaders 1500 memory can set to 1000 or more

I use 650-1700-980 but not for all work clocks higher than 600-1600

This one only has the voltage at 1.05. Unplayable in Crysis.
Do you have the one with 1.1 voltage?

psycroptik.. Unplayable in Crysis... who told you that :) this is lie
you can play crysis or what game do you like with voltage 1.05v you can stable overclock to 600-1500- memory more than 1000 but almost all set it to 950,975,980 your choice with voltage 1.10v you can set it more than 650-1650 but not with all work voltage more than 1.05v i dont know why
with this bios that i upload here you can use it for highest clocks 600-1600 very stable

Thats a really large OC u sure thats safe/stable?

Is it ok For 1 8800MGTX? Thanks.

Also the link u supplied also comes with a file called Update which is a MS-Dos Batch File and a file called CWSDPMI along with the .room and nvflash.

What are the MS-DoS Batch File and CWSDPMI used for? DO I need them?

I'd be careful with those, personally, since those are desktop BIOS's, rather than mobile ones.

GanGsta will probably be able to answer better than me, but I think the CWSDPMI is part of the nvflash program, and the bat file allows you to simply type "update" once you're in DOS, as it runs the nvflash program with the "-4 -5 -6" string, which forces the flash, and also points the program to which file it wants to flash.

from zfactor, this is the easiest way with a usb key.

making a bootable usb (from zfactor)

do you have a usb stick.. imo i would do this that way... get the hp usbstick utility here: http://www.noxtek.com/panties/files/...ey/SP27608.zip

then use these dos files here: http://www.noxtek.com/panties/files/1/bootme.zip

install and open the hp usb program with admin rights.. plug in the usb key. name the key whatever you feel like. i called mine simply "doskey" choose fat32 and check the format and create boot disk options, then direct it to the folder where you extracted the dos files. let it finish.

open my computer and go to the usb key device. now copy the whole nvflash folder to the key. along with anything else you want to use while in dos. reboot. go into the bios and set the usb key as the first boot device. save and reboot.

now you will have a c: prompt. you can now type dir\ and see your files. direct the command line to the right folder and hit enter. this should look like cd\ then hit enter.

now use the nvflash command to start it up..

also once in dos type :

    r:
    then type nvflash bios.rom

if it is from exactly the same card, type nvflash 8800M.rom, if it from a card with a different subsys id, type nvflash -4 -5 -6 8800M.rom

either load it up in nibitor and check it against yours (in device manager\advanced?\subsys id) and -4 -5 -6 forces the flash even with subsys differences

alright I found out the problem was causing by my overclocked CPU, the card works fine with default clocking which is 2.4Ghz. seems like the power supply can't support both OC CPU and GPU at the same time. however the score wasn't impressive, only 9874 with 175.70, it scored 9135 with 174.93 before i done overclocking.

nirvana, what speeds are you clocking to and are you upping the voltage to 1.05v? I find that my card runs at higher speeds fine at the higher voltage with cpu o\c'ed but not at the stock voltage with cpu o/c'e though it does run at the higher clocks on stock voltage if the cpu is at stock speed

theriko, I never used nibitor before, so I have few questions
1.) which bios should I open? the overclocked one?
2.) if the answer to first question is yes, do I required to re-flash the bios?

if thats what its already showing, then the overclocked bios is already using the voltmod... It was the extra mode that needed the 1.05 so if you'va already got it theres nothing i can do to help you i'm afraid

yes this is bios I used to flash. so there is nothing else i can do? :(
Should I OC the CPU or GPU then? need some opinions here. 10404 vs. 9874 in 3dmark06 respectively.

GPU usually. Your CPU is already fast enough for most of today's game or applications. (I don't even need to OC my cpu which is only 2.0GHz coz it's more than enough even in today's newest RTS games. ;) )

btw glad to hear you flashed the bios, you're using the bios I sent you right?

sorry maksin01 sorry I used a different bios from dazzyd. slightly higher clocking 600/1500/975. But I appreciate your help tho.
so you think I should overclock GPU even though it has lower 3dmark score?

That's alright. Yea I think OCing your GPU would be better. Your CPU is already good enough so even if you OC it you won't see much of a difference (except a higher 3Dmark score). However if you OC your GPU then in some games you will actually gain more fps (more smooth), can turn on more settings or use a higher resolution.
