I have a clevo p157sm mobo and I need to convert its 40 pin lvds cable to a 30 pin lvds connection for a p177sm display. Where should I go to find pinout info for both my motherboard and display? The model number of the motherboard is 6-71-P15S0-DA3B and the display is N173HGE-E11 Revision C1.

Clevo P157SM service manual (page 75)
Chi Mei N173HGE-E11 specification sheet (page 7-8)

However, as you may notice from the spec. sheet, the E11 is a 30-pin eDP, not LVDS (that's the L11). Fortunately, the P157SM (not -A) should feature both connectors on the same motherboard, so you merely need its 30-pin eDP cable (part nr. 6-43-P17S1-A10-1K).

It may depend which vendor of the machine as to if both connectors are populated.

Thanks for the info, I bought a replacement mobo from ebay and it went south when it didn't use the same display connector. Where is a good place to find the cable?
