I'm currently trying to decide if I want to go for a Clevo 570U. It's a bit more than I was planning on spending, but after taking a look at the reseller FAQ I noticed a lot of the resellers are open to negotiation. What's the best way to go about this? Over the phone, via e-mail? Should I just ask if any promotions are currently available, or just straight-out ask if there's any way to bring the price down? Maybe mention that I'm undecided and being able to get it a little cheaper could swing me in favor of purchasing it?

    Thanks.

email should be ok - straight asking to lower the price :). Compare from what other are asking. If where you want to buy from is real higher then you'll be able. If not, try but stay reasonnable :).

Exemple: Eurocom was asking like 1000$ more for this model than Hypersonic (on their website). I just emailed hypersonic config with the price and voila! Down 1000$.
