This program is starting to randomly pop-up in my processes stealing 45-55% CPU power, I notice when my fans starting spinning up even though I'm watching a movie, web, music, w/e. The image name is "NeroMobileAd.exe *32". How do I prevent it from running and has anyone else experienced this problem?

Have you checked in MSCONFIG and see if it is a process you can shutdown from startup?

    Hi.

Have you tried right click on the NeroMobileAd.exe and show file location.

Then delete or rename the file, but keep a backup just in case you have a problem.

    Regards

    John.

Under "startup" tab the only Nero program is "Nero home" and I deactivated it a long time ago because of the same problem. Under the "Services" tab I got "NBService" and "NMIndexingService" I will try disabling them one at a time during boot, see if it works, but they both say "Stopped"... oh I take pic.

I would get rid of Nero if I were you. There are much better options available, i.e. Ashampoo Burning Studio (low resources, superior product).

I use Nero, but installed only the Burning Rom. Customize, customize ...Nero isn`t all that bad, plus you got it for free.

If you still want to use Nero but don't want to deal with all the extra bloatware that comes with it, try Nero Lite or Nero Micro, both are trimmed down versions of the program. Here's a link to the official download site. I highly recommend using this if you like using Nero as your burning application.

Maybe it's under "Startup" in the start menu.

I agree with eleron. Nero isn't bad, you just have to customize the install.
I don't usually do standard installs for any programs because of all the bloat and useless features that lots of programs come with.

Nope I uninstalled Nero and got Ashampoo, which I definitely paid for. Case closed.
