And if thats a real picture, thats a MSI ... for SURE not what the Clevo next gen will look like, even the "Alienware-esq" version. -
huh? 10.7" screen with 780m? yeah right.... xD

The 10.7" is a typo on their FB page. If you look at their product page it's listed as a 17".
-
that makes more sense
thx for the link

I'd get it in 15"
17" isn't mobile to me at all. -

After my 17" Inspiron XPS 9100 I had in High School everything seems portable to me
-
that would be the p150sm as opposed to the p170sm that was pribably shown in the link.

Its MSI 1763 (jeez, thats a 2-year old frame....they still using that and selling it as new...)

If it aint broke seems to be MSI's approach, they have updating the paneling though, they tend to be a bit better looking now than they used to be.

when do the next line of Sager models release? I'm looking to upgrade but I want to get one that will be forward compatible for Haswell

No since the 2011 platform wont change until ivy-e, and then it may be a slot in upgrade, it's likely it would just get a new heatsink for the new card and away it goes.
-
Eurocom... figures.
-
I can't help but think that that GTX780M 4gb GDDR5 256-bit sounds an awful lot like rebadge. (perhaps with increased clocks but whatever)
-
well, meaker has been warning us for quite a while now that the nextgen gpus in 2013 wont be much of a perf. boost compared to the current gen
-
I'll wait for 2014 and see where technology is at. I think AMD will be focused on console this year, nVidia will be focused on their mobile devices and their Titan. Hopefully 2014 will have something better, die shrink and improvements.
-
This wasn't unexpected. Kepler will remain, with minor performance improvements, as with Haswell.
-
...as with gcn

Can't wait 'till 680m price goes down to $550.
-
good luck with that! at resellers the prices will only go UP instead of down. only chance to get a gpu cheaper is through a private seller on ebay or nbr marketplace, etc.
-
I am happy to see that is not what Clevo has in mind. I am still hoping at this point for better screens in their models.
New Clevo model?
